Frequently Asked Questions

Learn to ride safely from professionals.

What kind of equipment do I require?

Dress for Success: Courses run rain or shine. Make sure you are prepared for the elements.

Boots: Above ankle boots; Steel-Toed boots are not recommended, as it is difficult to feel the gears shift but are accepted if its all you have. No slip on boots as there is no ankle protection, it's just elastic. Motorcycle shoes purchased at motorcycle dealerships are accepted.

Attire: Be sure to wear thick, full coverage clothing. Jeans are acceptable, without holes. Water resistant pants and jackets, Ballistic Nylon/Kevlar padded jackets are highly recommended. Rain gear is always a plus as the weather is unpredictable. Layering your clothing is recommended for the elements.

Gloves: Must be full fingered. Leather is recommended but sturdy gloves also accepted.

Helmet: Minimum DOT rated. Full Face highly recommended.

Eye Protection: Sunglasses, Helmet visor or clear glasses.

I've been riding for years, do I really need to take a training program?

From our experience, riders with some experience have similar learning curves and challenges relating to slow speed maneuvers, braking exercises and riding in traffic as other “new to the road” students.

Many students come in with previous riding experience, and years of driving experience. What we routinely find is that these students are surprised by how much they learn from our course and many are shocked at the number of “bad habits” they have picked up over the years.

I need to cancel my course. Are there fees?

Any course changes or cancellations must be in writing to info@motorcyclecourse.com 6 business days prior to the course to receive a full refund or course date change.

Under the 6 business days notification of these course changes or cancellations will be subjected to a $150 administration fee.

There will be no refunds once the practical portion of the course has begun.

If you fail to attend a scheduled course without notice, your registration fee is forfeited.

Any refunds or changes for early withdrawal will be at the sole discretion of motorcyclecourse.com

Am I able to change my course date?

We will change your course date once for free. Everytime after that there is a $25 admin fee.

If I'm not successful on the course what happens?

This does happen from time to time where someone isn't successful. We unfortunately are not allowed to re-test you the same day. We will arrange an alternate date and time for you to re-take the test.

There is a $70 re-test fee for M1 to M2 testing.

For the M2 Exit testing (M2 to M) the re-test fee is $100.00
